Color Consulting

Why hire a designer for color when tools can suggest palettes?

Color is one of the most impactful — and most misunderstood — elements of design.

Online tools can suggest colors, but they can’t account for how light changes throughout the day, how undertones interact, or how colors relate to existing finishes in your home.

A color consultation provides real-world guidance so your choices feel cohesive, balanced, and confident — not just good on a screen.

What if I already have ideas or inspiration?

That’s perfect — most of my clients do.

My job isn’t to start from scratch, but to help you refine, validate, and apply your ideas in a way that works for your home, your lifestyle, and your long-term plans.

What to Expect from a Color Consultation

Whether in-home or virtual, a color consultation is designed to bring clarity and confidence to your decisions.

Here’s how the process typically works:

Before we meet

You’ll share a bit about your space, your goals, and any inspiration you’ve gathered. This helps me understand what you’re working toward before we begin.

During the consultation

We’ll review lighting, existing finishes, and how rooms connect. I’ll guide you through paint colors, undertones, and overall flow — explaining choices clearly so you understand why something works, not just what to choose.

Afterward

You’ll leave with clear direction and next steps. In-home consultations include physical color samples; virtual consultations include a summarized plan you can confidently move forward with.

Most clients walk away feeling relieved — decisions feel lighter once everything clicks.
