A little about Daphne:

A Chester County native, Daphne has been a hands-on construction helper and re modeler since a child. Her father built their family home, and Daphne and her siblings were right there, hammer and nails in hand.

“I can remember when I was little I would always move things in my bedroom and around the house, loved to pick flowers and arrange them in glasses. I would make things out of just about anything you could think of. But really what shaped me into becoming a designer was growing up with a father that was always building or painting. He built our family home while I was growing up. He wasn’t shy with letting us help. Hammer, nails, paint brush….I learned to use them all and haven’t put them down since,” Daphne explains.

She listens to the customer and then puts her creativity to work to bring their vision to life.

Working in the business for over 17 years, Interior Designer Daphne Bradley started Design By Daphne, LLC, in 2008. Daphne takes pride in being able to provide clients with unique and creative designs, reflecting their needs and life style without breaking their budget.

"Sometimes it is as simple as rethinking how you use what you already have."

Miranda Doyle

Project Coordinator

A little about Miranda:  An Avon Grove Graduate and native to southern Chester county.  She married her high school sweetheart and is raising 3 children. A son and two daughters, keeping her on her toes for sure.

“I have always had an interest in Interior Design and being creative.  I couldn’t be more excited to become a part of D.B.D. I have already learned so much and look forward to growing with the company.  Waxing has become my favorite step in making over a kitchen or furniture. Watching the true color appear is so amazing. Best part of the job is the reward of seeing our clients excitement as we complete each step of the project.”

Sami Bradley

Summer Apprentice

Most of you who know me, know that I have been tagging along with my mom, Daphne, since I was an infant to all of her past to present jobs. Kauffaman's Furniture, craft shows and now DBD. I've learned so much along the way. Painting being my favorite. Art is a passion of mine, drawing, painting, digital art, costuming, I just love it all. I really cant remember a time when I did not have a paint brush or marker in my hand. As long as I am doing something artsy I'm happy. Sounds like mom doesn't?

Being DBD's summer apprentice is rewarding as it fills my summer vacation with creativity and opportunity to learn a trade. I also enjoy being able to spend more time with my mom.

One thing I've been working on specifically is control of the paint texture, brush strokes and consistency. I'm getting better every day! I see a career for myself in the art world, maybe even as a future official team member of Design by Daphne!

Mariana Otersen

Painter

From Kennett Square and a student at West Chester University, currently studying early education. When I first started working at Design by Daphne I had no experience painting, but with the help of my coworkers I have been learning quickly! Working with Daphne has been the biggest blessing! It is so rewarding seeing the finished product of all of our work, and the clients I meet are always so nice they make my day. I am looking forward to seeing where this business grows and where I go along with it.

Hillary McNeil

Painter

I’m a 2019 graduate from Avon Grove High School currently living in Parkesburg PA. I just recently started painting with Design by Daphne and I love it! I’ve been learning a lot of valuable skills along the way and can’t wait to learn more. After working dead end jobs I finally feel like I’ve found a job I can grow with and a place I can express my creativity.”
